The end

Hello!
This is the last day of our incredible journey. It is going to be quite sad when this amazing adventure is over. We are going to miss all the great places we have visited, all the people we have met, and last but not least you guys!
But we still got some precious time left. Our plane does not leave until 9am. Right now we are playing in the water, and tanning. Finally we can just relax after some stressful couple of weeks.

We have learned very much on this journey. Our English has gotten better, and we have become more independent. Getting away from school and nagging families has also been good for us.
We have been in five countries and on all of the continents in 15 days! Impressive? Of all the destinations we have visited, we all agree on that we enjoyed our stay in India the most. That was because they had a completely different culture there, than what we have home in Norway.

But now it has come to an end. Goodbye<3

Summertimee!!

Now we have arrived heaven! White beaches as long as the eye can see. Turquoise ocean and cute little straw huts all over. Can you guess where we are?

Mauritsius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been here for exactly two minutes, and Sunniva has allready found herself a friend.

Huan!

He gave her some fish, and she fell in love right away! I tell you guys, that girl sure loves fish!
Now we have to go live our lives! The beach is waiting!!

LOTR tour!

Hi readers!
Yesterday we were on an unforgettable tour. A Lord of the rings tour! It was so awesome. We were at the exact location where Edoras the capital city of the Rohan people in the trilogy.  There we got se exclusive behind the scenes photos from the construction of Edoras. We saw The Misty Mountains, which formed the backdrop to Helms Deep. Half way through the tour we had a lovely champagne picnic lunch. Then we got to handle famous movie replicas. For example  Aragon’s sword, king Theoden’s sword, Gimli’s axe, Gandalf’s staff and flag of Rohan. Awesome! We understood at once why the actors and crew fell in love with this place.
The location for the city Edoras

Today we have spent travelling, you will get to know more about it tomorrow.
Bye!!

New Zealand

We arrived Wellington late yesterday. From there its was a long drive to Queenstown. We are going there because all the "Lord of the rings tours" depart from there. And that is our plan for today!
We did not know much about Queenstown before we came here, and all we have seen yet is:

Nature! Nice huh?
Now we are looking forward to see some "Lord of the rings nature" instead! It is going to be the time of our lives! Julie has been looking forward to this tour the whole trip! I think she only came because of it. She has been jumping up and down all morning, quoting Frodo, her idol. I think this is her favorite quote: "I have to leave the Shire. Sam and I must get to Bree". She have said it at least five times full of compassion. The last time she actually started crying. We live in a cabin, and it don't have the most solid floor. So now Sunniva sat on top of Julie to make her stop jumping. It apparently works, because now she lays completely still, only whispering "my precious" with a strange accent. I think I have to go help Sunniva, because now we are leaving for the tour.

Have a nice day! We will!

At Alaska airport

Good morning readers!
Right now we are having a cup of tea in a lovely little cafĂ© here in Alaska airport. We have just checked in our bags and suitcases, and now we are just waiting for the gate to open. Sunniva is eating a chocolate-chip cookie, and Julie a blueberry smoothie. Oda, on the other hand, is just drinking water. She is still having some trouble with her stomach. We all hope she gets better soon, so she can enjoy the rest of the vacation.
Earlier this morning, outside the airport, we met our great friend Ingrid. She had just gotten her sexy, Norwegian ass to Alaska, and she felt amazing. We have known Ingrid for eight years, and it was so much fun to see her again. What are the odds for meeting an old, Norwegian friend in this deserted area? We told Ingrid all about our trip, and told her things to do when she is in Alaska.  Especially, we recommended her to go rafting, and to see all the eight Harry Potter movies.
We took a shot of Ingrid inside the airport with a popcorn bowl, dosen't make sense to us either.

River rafting!

Yesterday we went river rafting! Now we are going to tell you all about the drama in the Matanuska river. Before we began rafting we got some basic but important instructions that we had to follow at all times. There was one especially message. "Do not at any time through the rafting trip stand up in the boat!", the instructor said with his strict voice, that hinted a small Russian accent. Oda did not pay attention to the instructor. She was more fascinated by the cute guy standing next to her. Ten minutes later we were in the rafting boat.

Rafting:D

We maneuvered our way through the river with awesome skills for the first couple of meters. Suddenly, Oda stands straight up in the boat and screams "Look! A beaver." The river led us into an abrupt turn and Oda lost her footing, and got thrown over board. The instuctor rolled his eyes and made a "sight". Then he jumped in and saved Oda. Oda and the instructor swam to shore while the rest of us rafted on. End of story.

Today we have just chilled in the cabin. Oda has fantasied about the instructor that saved her yesterday. The lucky guy has now becomed her hero, and great rescuer. While Julie and Sunniva has decided to make something useful out of their day, and watch all eight Harry Potter movies! Anyway see you later awesome readers!<3

Alaska, Alaska, Alaska

Hello lovely followers! We love you guys so much, and appreciate your support!
vinderhaug -
We have finally arrived Alaska, after a looooong ride!! We rented a car in New York and drove all the way. Maybe not the best idea, but Oda insisted because she got diarrhea while we were in New York. She wanted to be able  to go to the toilet whenever she had to, and for as long as she needed. This would have been possible on a plane to, but she don´t like people staring.

The cabin we are staying in. A beautiful sight. Right?
Now we have gotten our strength back from the LONG road trip, and are on our way out to do some river rafting! We are going to the Matanuska river. We´ll tell you guys how it went tomorrow :)

SquirrelSunniva

Hello friends!
Now we are blogging live from time square!!! Time Square is a famous street/open area with massive digital billboards whose bright lights make midnight look like mid-afternoon. There is a ton of people here, and Julie has gotten lost THREE times already. She dropped her cell in an elephant poop while we were in mumbai, and it has never been the same. But we have not seen any elephants on this trip! Hmm, weird! But, anyway. Good thing Oda had brought two phones, so Julie borrowed one from her. Back to the point. This was the only reason we didn't lose Julie to the crowd. Thank God. What would we do without her!? She brightens up our days..

Time Square

Earlier today we fed the squirrels in Central Park. It was so much fun! Oda eat som nuts, and went nuts! Hahahah, you get it? What a joke! Fun, fun, fun! Sunniva came up with it. The squirrels were very outgoing and they practically jumped up in our laps, and sat there until they had eaten all of our nuts. Or was it Oda? The trick was to stay completely calm, and don't move a muscle. Sunniva could not manage that, and went completely mad when one of the squirrels jumped up in her lap. She jumped up and sprinted in the opposite direction of the animal, waving her hands hysterically in the air. Both Oda and Julie agreed that they had never seen her run so fast before. It was quite a sight.

On this picture you can see Sunnivas awfull monster, and greatest fear...The squirrel!:p

Img_3046_large_large

When we arrived the airport we went straight to a sushirestaurant named "Blue ribbond sushi". It is in SoHo, a neighborhood in lower Manhattan. It is the location of many artists, lofts and galleries.

After the delicious meal, we went shopping. It was quite hectical! The stores were much larger than home in Norway, and there were also hundreds of people in there! It took allmost an hour to get through one store! Now we are back in the hotelroom again, exhausted and tons of clothes richer. Time to go to bed. See you tomorrow!

Palm beach

Hey! Yesterdays tour was great! We saw lots of interesting stuff, and heard about Sydneys history. And early this morning we went on another one. But from another point of wiew this time! From the air! The helicopertour was even better than the last one. Julie was a little bit hysterical at the beginning, but she managed to pull herself together and controll her fear. The rest of the trip she was calm and balanced. Unless she was looking out the window. Sunniva on the other hand went nuts with her microphone, and sang "I et rosa helikoper" the whole trip! Oda raged and hit her in the face, and then the trip was over. But it was quite an experience.

The wiew over Sydney

After the helicopterflight we changed into our bikinies, and hit the beach! We went to Palm beach to go surfing. That is where the beach scenes in "Home and Away" were filmed. Home and Away is a TV series who has been running for decades now. There we took a surfing class to learn the basic surfingtechnique. Neighter of us had tried it before, so it can't have been a pretty sight. But after a while at least one of us managed to stand up on the board. Oda was amazing out there! She surfed like a proffesional! The others were so impressed, and could not take their eyes of her! Sunniva road the waves like a pro! She thought, and showed of bigtime! But she actually managed to stand up one time! Wehoo! Julie got distracted by a surf dude with blond wavy hair and great abs, and we havent seen her since. Now the remaing are sitting at a beach bar chilling, waiting for Julie to come back. After former experiences we know that can take a while... It's a good thing we got patience! Here are some pictures from the beach!

14 hours later

Finally we have arrived Sydney! The flight was endless, and we couldn't believe our own eyes when we saw sydney in the horisont. It is great to be able to walk further than to the plane toilet again! We are free! And in Sydney! Life is great!
Today we are going on a tour. We are planning to se Harbour bridge, the opera house and Bondi beach!

Tumblr_lrhikbyqhy1r07xoto1_500_large

I also think we are going to try diving. We have heard you can see dolphins if you are lucky, so keep your fingers crossed! Sunniva allready is a professional diver (if she can say it herselves). A few years back she got her diving license. 5 meters under water.

Right now we are sitting on a internetcafe in chinatown, eating noodles. Oda is reading out loud from the guidbook. Did you know that you can rent a helicopter and take the sightseeing from the air? I think that will be our plan for tomorrow! It might be a problem that Julie is afraid of heights though. But thats something to worry about later. Now we have to go. Our time is almost up on the internet. See you tomorrow!

We have been shopping here all day! I am sure we could spend several weeks here, and still we wouln't have seen it all! There are so many colours, smells and sounds it messes with our heads! You can't understand it unless you have seen it yourselves! All three of us have bought ourselves a sari. Thats a traditional indian dress, and it is really cool!

This is Julie in her sari!
This has been a great day, but it's going to be even better! Because later we are going to watch a cricket game. Sunniva is so excited because she has just seen it in one of her bollywood movies, and then it suddenly becomes such a big deal!

Day one India!

Yo! We arrived India late last nigth, with a tonn of luggage. The hotel was nice, and the service was great! Exhausted from the long flight we fell asleep right away. Early next morning we were ready to hit the city! We started off visiting the Gateway of India. It is a big monument located on the waterfront south in Mumbai.

   Gateway of India

Later we went to a huge temple called Jain temple. It was beautifully decorated and the entrance was flanked by two stone elephants. From there we took the ferry to the Elephanta caves. It is about one hour from the mainland, and is a complex of shiva temples in caves! It was declared a World Heritage site in 1987. We got a tip about not to carry food in the area, because the huge monkey population would come after us. But of course Sunniva had to bring a donut into the temple, and four monkeys followed us everywhere we went!

After we escaped the monkeys, we went back to the hotel and ate a nice dinner. Now we are going to bed to be ready for what tomorrow might bring.
Goodnight, sleep tight!

Hello! We have now arrived Oslo-Gardemoen airport, and in two hours our plane leaves for Mumbai!! Thouse hours we spend like this; Julie is pissed off, because she got her period yesteday, Oda is hooking up with a French guy and Sunniva is chilling with a slush. Life is beautiful! We have bought som food for the flight because we dont trust the food on the plane. Last time Julie ate some bad chicken and she practicaly lived in the restroom the rest of the trip.

Oda and the french guy ! <3

When we arrive in Mumbai we are going staight to the hotel. We just booked rooms at the best hotel we could find. The Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai! It is located in the heart of Mumbai, and right by the beach. But I don't think that will be our main attraction tomorrow. Tomorrow we are going to explore the city! Wehoo!

Goodbye our faithful followers!

The journey begins

Hey! We are three girls. Julie, Oda and Sunniva. We have allways loved traveling, and now we are going on the journey of our lives! We sat down one day, and the smart one of us thought: "Why don't we travel through 5 english speaking countries?". "WEHOO!" The rest said! And the day after, the tickets were booked! We started thinking about which countries we wanted to go to. "India!" Sunniva said. She loves bollywood films, and were really excited! "The USA!" Oda said, and Julie and Sunniva joined in. We all wanted to go there! The other countries we desided were Mauritius (because we wanted a holyday), New Zealand (because "The Lord of the rings" were filmed there, and Julie wanted to see where Gandalv had been), and Australia (because we wanted to see a koala)!

Now we have to go packing. We are leaving tomorrow! Wish us luck! ilu
